I remember the day when I learned that my dad had diabetes. I never truly understood what it meant but I knew it was something bad. I was 12 years old. He worked his way up to get a good job as a chef and he was proud of it. We always have fun. My father provides us with everything. His dreams for us were always big and ambitious. Often he talks about how he wanted to give us a better life; to send all of us to school and college to finish a degree. That is why he works so hard to make ends meet.
A large family of 5 children like us certainly needs a family man who not only cares but works hard as well. I can see my father working day and night not minding the stress and pressure just to support and feed his large family. He has always been an energetic man, with so much compassion for his work and his family. But that was before diabetes set in.
Not a word does he speak after that doesn't bring tears to his eyes, when he talks about his life. We would gather around him and cheer him up. Everyone in the family cared for him. We would take turns in preparing his food and attending to his needs. My mom carried the greatest burden of emotional pain because every day she saw the man whom she dearly loved, in agony because of a disease that has taken not only his limbs but his pride as well. My father died at the age of 45. His example of courage and love has been our guide in following our own paths in life. Diabetes had taken so much from him. Years where he could have done so much if only he hadn't acquired the disease.
Now, everyone in the family is making a very conscious effort to stay away from this dreadful disease. Diabetes with not take any one of us again. The day my dad went away is the most shocking moment in my life. But I believe everything happens for a reason. God knows what best for us. He loves dad so much he took him first so that he not suffering that much from his disease. I have to learn to let go. To move on, to live my life.
It has been 12 years.
I miss dad so much it hurts :(

5 things I cannot live without.
Everyone surely has something that they cannot live without in their life. Today I'm going to share about what things in my life that give me impact on living. To keep on living the healthy lifestyles we need to have something that can motivate us to live a good life. Because life is too short to be frown and there are always many good things about life that we can discover. Thus, this entry is going to reveal what are the most important things in my life.
1. FAMILY
everyone has their own family. So do I. As a first child I carry tonnes of responsibilities to help my mother to take care of my siblings. My mother is the backbone of our family. I admire her strength and dedication to my family. She works hard just to make sure that my siblings and I get a good education. I am the eldest in my family so I will be the good example to my sisters and brother. Without my family, especially my mother I couldn't imagine how our life would be. Family mean a world to me, I love them very much.
2. FRIENDS.
What is the meaning of a friend? A person one who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause or movement. Living in University teaches us to appreciate the true meaning of friendship. Especially in my University. We work, we study and we do almost everything in a group. For me, friend also holds a similarity concept with family. Ohana in mexican means family. I live with my friends in University as a society thus it means friends as a family. And family means nobody left behind. This make things clearly why I think friend is one of the things that I cannot live without.
3. HAND-PHONE.
We live in the 21st century. I couldn't imagine how to communicate with people around the world without the help of technology. Thanks to the invention of hand-phone that made people easy to communicate from one place to another. Imagine that we still using those old-fashioned communication such as smoke signals, drums, carrier pigeon and others. I think it may took sometimes for the message to be delivered, maybe a week or a month period of time. My hand-phone that keeps me in contact with all my family members and my friends. Even-thou we're miles apart but we still can in contact with each other & that the strong reason why I can't live without my hand-phone.
4. MUSICS.
Without musics life could be meaningless and dull. I like to hear to any kind of musics that have a good quality and the songs that has lyrics that mean so much to me. I love to hear to those that hold a memory or mean something to me. The one that can motivate me and something which is light and easy to listen. Sometimes in real life we cannot describe what we feel or what are we want to do. By singing it has its own melody and words that can describe all those feelings. The lyrics (words) of songs are typically of a poetic. Musics also can change our mood and give an impact to our lives.
5. BLOG
My blog. Yes, I love writing so much. Since I have blogged, I have become a blog addict. I love this amazing community that is doing it all their own way. I like to read other's blog. Sometimes they give us something to think about and the arts of writing is very beautiful. I appreciate this online journal that gives people around the world to write almost about anything and share it with people all over the world. But be careful about what are we going to write. We have to respect others and the ethic of writing is always to write a positive things. Because somehow a pebble in the water makes a ripple effect and thus every action in this world will bear a consequence.

my all time favorite super hero
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia;
"A superhero is a type of character possessing "extraordinary or superhuman powers" and dedicated to protecting the public. By most definitions, characters do not strictly require actual superhuman powers to be deemed superheroes. Superhero powers vary widely; superhuman strength, the ability to fly, enhanced senses, and the projection of energy bolts are all common. While others may have special weapons or technology."
Everyone knows who is Batman, he is, a normal man, who uses his love of science, strength, and problem solving to make him a very special kind of crime-fighting super hero. Bruce Wayne was a young boy when his parents were killed during a mugging. As Bruce grew up, he maintained a vow to bring his parents' killer to justice and so he trained hard to get his body in perfect physical condition by studying martial arts and gymnastics. Batman studied and excelled in areas of science, criminology and psychology. Batman is a top-notch escape artist but usually finds himself successful against the evil villains not by beating them up physically, but by out witting him.
Batman is my favorite superhero of all time. I adore batman very much because he is one of the intelligent superhero. Unlike most ultra-powerful self-appointed defenders of humanity, Batman spends a lot of time on the computer. In fact one of his most striking abilities knows just how to research and outsmart his adversaries. I’d like to think that the cognitive skills Batman uses to navigate his military grade supercomputer. He has no super powers, no godlike agility, no bionic durability. When Batman rushes off into battle, there’s only his thinly armored suit and quick wit to protect him from the night’s heinous evildoers. He is fabulously wealthy and has brilliant detective smarts.
He always stick to a no-kill policy. Why I'm saying this is because Batman has a no-kill policy and would rather hang up his cape than violate his sacred personal rule. No matter how many times the Joker gets free, Batman will take responsibility to stop his devious plans, round him up, and get him the good psychiatric care he needs. This is part of what makes Batman not just a good hero but the greatest hero. He may not the strongest, but he’s the firmest. While Superman may have more body mass, he can never grasp the sheer complexity and limitations of what it’s like to be like “one of us”. Batman has devoted his whole life to mastering the martial arts, fighting crime, and doing the right thing each time. It may not be clear if these criminals deserve to live, but Batman doesn't take matters into his own hands. He’ll leave that up to the courts to decide. He is the only hero that motivated others not by revenge but by true justice.
